This workshop, which is open to all HI and DSBA students, starts with the results of an analysis, and focuses on the last critical step of the data science/analytics process: making an effective and compelling presentation. The workshop is meant to be an introduction to the lifecycle of converting raw analysis to a call to action.
Topics will include:
- Strategies for interpreting the results of data analysis
- Identifying core concepts and issues in the context of organizational priorities
- Evaluating visualizations, graphs, charts, and tables to effectively convey the core message
- Ensuring accuracy in data and findings
- Finding the right “angle” to tell the story
- Knowing your audience
- Presentation Tools
- Identifying appropriate steps/policies/action items in the context of a business case
- Telling the Story
