Elizabeth von Briesen is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Software & Information Systems at UNC Charlotte. She has a B.S. in Physics from the University of Virginia, and more than ten years of experience consulting and teaching in the IT industry. Her research involves computational modeling of genocide initially taking an agent-based approach, and subsequently evolving the model to implement a dynamic network. She also works as a teaching assistant in the College of Computing & Informatics.
