The inventor of the Palm Pilot has an obsession with the human brain. He has enough “Street Cred[ibility]” to have been invited to speak at the 2007 Society for Neuroscience meeting. This talk will summarize some beliefs, assumptions, and neural mechanisms of cerebral cortical function found in his book, On Intelligence (2004). My own judgments and comments related to cortical and other brain area function will provide foundation for a general discussion -- lively, one hopes – that will follow the talk.
