Nazmiye Gizem Bacaksizlar is a Ph.D. student at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, College of Computing and Informatics. Gizem received her bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering from Yildiz Technical University, Istanbul and her master’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Bogazici University, Istanbul. Her research interests include modeling and analyzing socio-economic systems applying System Dynamics methodology. She is also interested in Complex Adaptive Systems as human interactions and rebellion actions. Currently, she is a graduate research assistant of Dr. Hadzikadic, working on the inequalities in the societies such as: income distribution, fairness, freedom and happiness.
